Pine State Beverage Co. Employee Recognized in
National Spotlight Program
GARDINER, Maine – Independent beer distribution company Pine State Beverage Co. is pleased to announce that Michael Albert, draught quality manager, has been recognized in the National Beer Wholesalers Association (NBWA) Employee Spotlight Program. Albert has worked for Pine State Beverage Co. for 26 years.
America’s more than 3,000 independent beer distribution facilities employ 135,000 men and women in communities across the country. The NBWA Employee Spotlight Program highlights standout beer distribution employees and showcases their achievements.
“It is often noted that many beer distribution companies are family-owned and -operated, and many of these businesses operate as an extended ‘family,’ with employees who have worked in the business for five, 10, 20 years or more,” said NBWA President & CEO Craig Purser. “NBWA’s Employee Spotlight Program recognizes these standout employees who are the face of the American beer industry in their communities.”
YEARS AT COMPANY
Draught Quality Manager
“Michael started as a drivers helper during summers. He quickly earned his own route but also showed a technical ability that would be the start to what has turned into an excellent career and made him the true ‘expert in the field’ as it pertains to quality draught beer. Michael oversees Pine State’s five-person Draught Quality Team and takes great pride in the work and service his team provides to both our retailers and our suppliers. ‘Ensuring the beer tastes the way the brewer intended is something I take very seriously’ are words you will hear Michael say on a regular basis. He leads by example and is the backbone not only of his Draught Quality Team but also of our On-Premise Sales Team.”
