For more than 40 years, the Chicago River has been dyed green in honor of St. Patrick's Day. The Chicago River Crew dumps the same vegetable-based dye formula that was used in 1961. It was initially used to trace sources of river pollution and can be seen as far away as Mississippi days after.

RECIPE OF THE MONTH

Corned Beef, Cabbage with Green Beer

Corned Beef, Cabbage with Green Beer

Friends,

Cheryl TimberlakeWe can officially say WELCOME SPRING! March is an interesting month in Maine. We can have sunny warm weather one day and then a chance of a blizzard the next.

Our members are excited that April is right around the corner and are patiently waiting for the opening day of baseball season, which starts tomorrow and on Friday for all Red Sox fans. It is also a reminder that summer is not far behind!

With all the talk of warmer weather and sports, now is a great time to remind everyone to play it safe and be responsible. Even if you have spring fever, there is no excuse for poor judgment when it comes to the use of alcohol. We take our role as distributors very seriously and we hope that all Mainers share in our vision.

Be sure to check out our latest legislative update on the left side of this e-newsletter to read about the most pressing issues and current topics facing Maine's beer and wine industry.

We remind everyone to be responsible and enjoy spring!

Delivering quality and choice. Advocating responsibility.

Sincerely,

Cheryl Timberlake
Executive Vice President
Maine Beer & Wine Distributors Association
